Senior Commercial Account Executive

We are community and client focussed. This role will be a key position in our growing Commercial Insurance team and has the opportunity to either be Remote or a Hybrid position. It is a leadership role responsible for managing a book of mid-market commercial business and acts as a senior resource for the Commercial team.

What does this role entail?

  • Work with Director of Sales & Service to:
    • evaluate resources and insurance markets needed to achieve Organizations goals
    • create workflow, policies, procedures, and standardized processes for commercial & personal
    • identify beneficial programs and products, assess implementation, measurement, and effectiveness analysis
  • Support the integration of newly acquired commercial business.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to commercial producers.
  • Manage a commercial book of business consisting primarily of the brokerage’s complex risks .
  • Assist in the identification of problems within day-to-day operations and training and present possible improvements.
  • Assist in developing, establishing, and executing operating policies consistent with corporate strategic vision and objectives.
  • Assist in creating formal goals for the Commercial team, as part of the annual performance management process, that align with the organizations vision, mission, and values.
  • Provide functional relationship management with all existing and new insurance providers.
  • Provide visible leadership in service of Long Lake Insurance work culture of a great place for people to work, providing the best customer service and supporting our communities.
  • Lead, manage and hold accountable any staff who directly report to this role.

What will make you successful in this role?

  • Level 3 licence and CAIB 4
  • 10+ years of commercial brokering experience in mid-sized market
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Strong demonstrated proactive client service focus
  • A desire to progress career into a leadership position
  • Demonstrated results-oriented work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to research with the results of problem resolution
