Billing Clerk
About the Role
As the Billing Clerk, you’ll play an integral part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting operational efficiency, and upholding compliance standards.
You’ll be responsible to ensures accurate, timely, and fully reconciled processing of client and insurer transactions within our broker management system.
Key Responsibilities
- Handles the full lifecycle of billing-related transactions with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls.
- Complete manual transactions, including adjustments, corrections, and reversals.
- Troubleshoot billing-related posting issues.
- Verify policy, client account, and carrier information prior to posting.
- Maintain complete documentation for audit and month-end support.
- Participate in system updates, workflow improvements, and new process rollouts.
- Assist with documentation and process standardization.
- Diagnose transaction errors, missing data, or payment discrepancies.
- Provide responsive support to branches experiencing billing problems.
- Document recurring issues and recommend process improvements or automation fixes.
Qualifications
Experience
- 2 years insurance experience
Technical Skills
- Experience with EPIC broker admin system – desired but not required
- Proficient with Excel and other Microsoft tools
